Dearest friends,

Grace and Peace, to you from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today was another great day in Romania.

This morning we worshipped with the Light to Light UMC church plant. It is three years old, and is mighty in the Holy Spirit. Pastor Christi and his family are doing good work. I had the privelege of sharing Gods word this morning in Romania. (This is something I never thought I’d do, but I can now add it to my bucket list and then cross it off. đŸ˜‰) What an honor and a privilege it was.

We spent more time sharing with one another and asking questions. Ronie took a few of us up to a little citadel for some sight seeing later in the afternoon.

One of the things I can tell you with great clarity is that my heart has been moved and softened for the orphans of Romania. There are many. Children are easily cast aside when life gets difficult, and my heart breaks for them. There are avenues to support the work being done, and there is a great openness from the people we have met on this trip for support. Those here we’ve met with who are working to release children from the cycle of poverty in Jesus Name, recognize the great need for prayer, and that is their greatest request. We can begin that immediately.

Will you join me?

Lord and Creator of the Heavens be the earth. You are God of all people, resources and time. You are our mighty savior, and through your Holy Spirit we can do amazing things. Lord, tonight I lift up the Orphans in Romania and the USA alike. I ask Lord that you provide for each a home with people whom they can trust. Heal their wounds of rejection, and abandonment and pain. Raise up parents, adults, and workers of the harvest to complete the work you are doing currently. Guide them, Lord we pray. Offer your perfect wisdom, strength and perseverance to each in need. We pray specifically for Pastor Christi, his wife Ligia, and Ronie tonight. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus powerful name we pray, Amen.

Friends, thank you for following our journey. We will be home in a couple of days, but this will be our last post. Please join us for worship on Sunday, August 20th as we unfold God’s Word and the work in Romania for you.

With a cup full of blessings,

Joy
