Sunday, May 1, is the annual Islamic Community Dinner in Cedar Rapids at the Islamic Center, 2999 First Avenue SW. This dinner is for the community as a whole, not just their Muslim members. They expect to serve several thousand people and welcome everyone to enjoy the good food and welcoming people. Serving times are from 11:00-2:00 and from 3:00 to 5:00.

This year in particular, many of the Cedar Rapids churches are making a major effort to join our Muslim neighbors for this special occasion which is their Easter Sunday, a time of renewal, according to the Orthodox calendar. We are welcome also. Please consider attending and witnessing to our neighborliness with them.
