Lent 2021
HOLY WEEK
Palm Sunday Worship, Sunday March 28 @ 9:30 AM
We will be waving palms in the pews and hearing of Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Join us for worship in person or online Sunday morning.
Wednesday March 31 &
Thursday April 1 – Stations of Jesus’ Life
Stations of Jesus’ Life is an interactive opportunity that will be offered for Wednesday, March 31st, from 12:00 – 6:00, and Thursday, April 1st, 12:00 through 8:00 at the church. The stations offer scripture, reflections, and opportunities for interaction. You are invited to come and spend time in meditation, reflection, and prayer as you move through the stations at your leisure.
Friday April 2—Good Friday Tenebrae Service Friday, April 2nd, at 6:30 PM
The service of Tenebrae, meaning “darkness” or “shadows,” has been practiced by the church since medieval times. Once a service for the monastic community, Tenebrae later became an important part of the worship of the common folk during Holy Week. We join Christians of many generations throughout the world
All are invited to attend the Tenebrae service to remember the depth of Christ’s suffering and death, and to remember the hope of resurrection in anticipation of Easter.
Sunday April 4—Easter Sunday—Worship at 9:30 AM
We will worship together in person and online and hope to see many faces on this special day. Easter Sunday we will need your help arriving early to help all get a seat and social distance while being together in our sanctuary and balcony.
We are excited to announce Pastor Terra will be doing a weekly study during Lent called “A World Worth Saving” and would encourage you to get your book ordered today to be able and ready to start the study on Monday February 15 @ 7 pm. The group discussion will be on Zoom each week and we welcome you to sign up here for the group with Pastor Terra Amundson leading the discussion.
