A Blue Christmas Service:

Sunday, December 19th at 7:00

In this season when we are expecting the joy of Christ’s coming, we are near the time of the longest night of the year. We know that for some in our congregation and community every night appears endless, and the hope of a new day seems dim. For all of us the troubles of the world are ever-present as we watch with victims of violence, hunger, illness, and disaster, close at hand and throughout the earth. We are called to gather in community, surrounded by love, and listen to God’s word; remember God’s promises, and praise God who is the source of all light and hope.

This is a gentle service of Song, Word and Prayer, and a time where people who are hurting and those who love them are welcome to come and acknowledge the pain and loss, and find comfort and hope.
