Pastor Lee Schott, who has visited us many times from our sister congregation in Mitchellville, is departing from her post at Women @ the Well. She has recorded a short thank you message and asked me to share it with our congregation.

Here is a small portion of her message she sent out to all the congregations she has worked with in the past:

Please be praying for us through this time of transition, which is (like all things!) complicated with the pandemic. We definitely feel the prayers of so many who care about this ministry. We long for the doors of the prison to be opened again to our in-person ministry there and, in the meantime, we are finding ways to pursue the vision God has given us. But, yes, prayers are needed for our sisters inside, and doing the work of reentry, and for our work in the ways we are able to keep showing up.

I have so appreciated the many ways so many of you have partnered with us across these years of Women at the Well. I will miss seeing many of you in person but am glad we remain colleagues and friends. Our mutual, shared ministry continues through Women at the Well and as workers in God’s vineyard wherever we find ourselves.

Blessings and prayers, Pastor Lee Schott

Good luck Pastor Lee and we pray a blessing over your transition

and all the lives you have touched with your ministry!
